Modes of participation of the community of Pedra Negra da Extrema- Barra-BA’s rural in the constitution of school education

Abstract

This work, entitled “Modes of participation of the community of Pedra Negra da Extrema- Barra-BA’s rural in the constitution of the school in the countryside”, had the general objective of discussing the modes of participation of the community in the process of constitution of the school in the countryside, therefore analyzing , the process of resistance and participation of the community of Pedra Negra da Extrema, Barra-BA, in the constitution of the public school in the countryside; the general objective unfolded in the following specific objectives: to point out the theoretical, bibliographic, normative and legal references that deal with Rural Education, for a better understanding of the researched phenomenon; understand to what extent Education in the Countryside has become a militant flag for fathers and mothers in the community of Pedra Negra da Extrema; and to discuss and collectively (re) build the modes of participation of the families of Pedra Negra da Extrema for the constitution of a school in the field of quality. The research was of a qualitative approach, privileging action research, through diagnosis and workshops with the community in loco. The results point to the understanding that there is no education in / in the countryside without the effective participation of the peasant people.
